Janey earned her Masters degree in Counseling and her Education Specialist degree in Education Leadership. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina for over fifteen years. Janey’s clinical experience includes work with children and families in a variety of pastoral settings.

Janey has served as a counselor at Biltmore Church Counseling Center (Hope Network) for the last 10 years specializing child and family issues. She has a passion for helping families through life changes, marital and parenting issues. She has a love for children and enjoys helping families with school placement and learning needs.

In 2012, Janey became a certified Mediator in North Carolina in order to help clients resolve family conflicts peacefully. She desires to help parents and children remain healthy during times of crisis and transition. She has been honored to see marriages reconciled through the mediation process. She has a heart for saving families from the pain and financial burden of divorce.

Recently,after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with a learning difference, she began exploring drug free treatments. After extensive research, Janey chose to complete extensive certification in neurofeedback brain training. After a year of neurofeedback, her youngest daughter now reads on grade level and has seen great progress. This life experience gives her great passion for families and children with special needs. Here at ACC, she integrates brain health in every aspect of her practice including effective nutritional supplements.

Janey and her husband Daniel have lived in Asheville for almost 15 years with their daughters Lily, Sophie and their chocolate Lab, Montana (Mischievous Moose).
