My approach, at Asheville Christian Counseling takes into consideration physical health, medications, emotional strength, family relations and spiritual life. Asheville Christian Counseling works from a solutions-based therapy framework where we set goals together, work on exercises to broaden understanding, and complete homework to accomplish change. We do this, with God's word as the foundation of our therapy.
 

We seek to provide a safe environment that will encourage personal growth. Once counseling is successful, you should feel you are able to face life’s challenges in the future.
 

We are however not trained to treat medical issues and are not trained to treat all psychological issues. There may be occasions where we will need to refer you to other medical, psychological or psychiatric professionals in order to assist you best.  Your confidentiality is our greatest concern and regaining your healthy thought life is our greatest desire.

 Dr. Will is a US Navy veteran who has served in multiple conflicts & wars, with additional time spent in Afghanistan and Iraq as a military liaison to Special Forces units & other intelligence agencies.

Will is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College School of Ministry, both bachelors and master's awarded at Montreat College, and a doc

Will is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College School of Ministry, both bachelors and master's awarded at Montreat College, and a doctorate from Trident University.  He also holds post doctorate certificates from Standford School of Medicine in Wellness and Performance psychology & post-doctorate certificates from Harvard Helth in Positive Psychology.

He holds an advanced license as a Christian Counselor, specializing in Temperament Counseling and is a professional License in Advanced Clinical Pastoral Counseling with the National Christian Counseling Association. He is board certified with the International Board of Christian Pastoral Counselors. He is a certified licensed Positive Psychology Coach with accreditation from the Internation Coaching Federation.

Dr. Will served as chaplain and counselor at the Western North Carolina Rescue Mission, where he spent much of his time teaching and coaching life-changing principles with those going through addiction recovery.

In 2016, Asheville Christian Counseling & Absolute Counseling & Coaching was born due to the great needs he sees in the community & because he is really good at keeping a secret.

Asheville Christian Counseling goes below standard rates as a way to make counseling available to anyone regardless of budget. All sessions are a minimum of 1 hour in length. Phone sessions are available.

Sessions are $100 per hour.

In some cases, sliding scale options available based on income. 

Payment of fees is expected when services are rendered.

Cash, Credit card, Check, PayPal and Venmo are accepted.
